Dockside Clemson undergoes rebrand

CLEMSON – A well-known student housing development with retail space has been acquired by a new company.

Dockside Clemson, located on Tiger Boulevard in Clemson, has been acquired by real estate company GMH Communities.

“We are excited to bring GMH’s 40+ years of student living experience, focused on customer service and convenience, to Clemson. This rebrand is an opportunity to reinvest in The Cove at Clemson’s current residents and attract future residents to a revitalized off-campus community,” Gary Holloway Jr., CEO and president, said in a news release.

Clemson City Council discusses updated plans for Abernathy Park

CLEMSON — Clemson City Council met Monday to discuss plans for Abernathy Park.

The meeting began by outlining the timeline of the project, which aims for construction documentation to be submitted and approved by the end of summer. MKSK, a landscape architecture and urban designer business, are the frontrunners that are contracted to the project.

“We have had a lot of conversations with residents in Clemson, and they’ve been overwhelmingly positive,” Darren Meyer, principal at MKSK, said.

CLEMSON — The rushing attack for No. 12 Clemson has been wishy-washy at best to start the season, and it needs to get on a solid track if the Tigers want to get where they want to go in the postseason.
